Decision noise may mask criterion shifts:Reply to Balakrishnan and MacDonald (2008)
Decision criterion shifts Balakrishnan MacDonald
2015/7/28
J. D. Balakrishnan and J. A. MacDonald (2008) argue that RTbased measures of signal detection processes provide evidence against signal detection theory’s notion of a flexible decision criterion.
Accounting for Expectational and Structural Error in Binary Choice Problems: A Moment Inequality Approach
discrete choice models moment inequalities entry models
2015/7/17
Many economic decisions involve a binary choice - for example, when consumers decide to purchase a good or when rms decide to enter a new market.
In such settings, agents' choices often depend on im...
Branch and Bound Algorithm for Computing the Minimum Stability Degree of Parameter-Dependent Linear Systems
Branch Bound Algorithm Computing Minimum Stability Degree Parameter-Dependent Linear Systems
2015/7/13
We consider linear systems with unspecified parameters that lie between given upper and lower bounds. Except for a few special cases, the computation of many quantities of interest for such systems ca...

A wide variety of problems in systems and control theory can be cast or recast as convex problems that involve linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). For a few very special cases there are “analytical sol...

Lyapunov Functionals Analyzing Hybrid Dynamical Systems
2015/7/10
In this paper, we introduce a new class of Lyapunov functionals for analyzing hybrid dynamical systems. This class can be thought of as a generalization of the Lyapunov functional introduced by Yakubo...

We study the distributed averaging problem on an arbitrary network with a gossip constraint, which means that no node communicates with more than one neighbour in every time slot. We consider algorith...
