美国当地媒体报道，享誉世界的华裔建筑大师贝聿铭5月16日去世，享年102岁。贝聿铭最著名作品包括法国卢浮宫的玻璃金字塔等。贝聿铭在全球设计过诸多知名建筑，包括为巴黎的卢浮宫设计的“玻璃金字塔”等，中国驻美国大使馆建筑也是出自贝聿铭之手设计。
近年来建筑领域的数字化制造技术发展迅速，如能砌墙的机器人，可打印出整块楼板的3D打印机等，已属常见。瑞士苏黎世联邦理工大学在该领域开展了一系列前瞻性研究，取得一批重要成果。瑞士苏黎世联邦理工大学牵头开展了一项示范项目，集中建筑设计、机器人技术、材料科学、结构工程和可持续发展等相关领域的科研力量，整合建筑领域数字化智能制造技术，实现建筑方设计、施工规划、建造过程的全数字化和智能化“一条龙”无缝衔接。
