黄祖洽，院士，中国理论物理学家。1924年10月2日出生于湖南省长沙市。1948年北京清华大学物理系毕业，1950年清华大学理论物理研究生毕业，同年8月被分到中国科学院近代物理研究所（该所1953年改称物理所，1956年后改为中国原子能研究所，由科学院和二机部共同领导）作原子核理论研究。1953年开始从事反应堆理论研究。

柴之芳，1992年6月起任研究员。2007年当选为中国科学院院士。长期致力于核分析方法学的发展，并将其应用于一些交叉学科中。建立了铂族元素放射化学中子活化方法，发现了一些与生物灭绝事件有关的地质界线铂族元素丰度特征及其多种化学种态，丰富和发展了地外撞击理论；倡导并建立了分子－中子活化方法，实现了细胞、亚细胞及分子水平的多种微量元素化学种态的研究。
